This August, our city turns into a giant playground where the arts and family fun collide in a spectacular splash of color and sound. Forget quiet picnics—these events are more like a carnival of creativity that’ll keep your social calendar jam-packed and your kids entertained for hours.

Gear up for a month packed with everything from groovy tunes at the marina to gravity-defying antics at your local (and much beloved) trampoline park.

  1. Music at the Marina

Kick off your Thursdays by heading down to the Everett Marina, where local bands belt out tunes that are sure to make seagulls dance. Starting August 1st, bring a chair—or a yacht, if you’re fancy—and chill to the sweet sounds of country, rock tributes, and soul. Don't miss the food trucks (unless you prefer your music on an empty stomach).

  • Aug. 1st: Chance McKinney — Good Time Country
  • Aug. 8th: The Little Lies — A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac
  • Aug. 15th: Eldridge Gravy & the Court Supreme — Feel Good Funk / R&B
  • Aug. 22nd: Queen Mother — A Tribute to the Music of Queen
  • Aug. 29th: LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends — An Evening of Pop & Soul

  1. Mariner-Fest

Circle August 17th for a back-to-school bash that puts the cool in school. The first 750 kids snag free backpacks. It’s a fun fest with bouncy castles (because who doesn’t want to feel like they're walking on the moon?) and snacks that will have you forgetting about your packed lunch.

  1. Fresh Paint at Schack Art Center

On August 17th and 18th, swap your beach sandals for artist sandals at Fresh Paint, where you can buy art straight off the easel. Chat with artists before they’re famous, and snag pieces that might one day pay off your mortgage. Enjoy live music and a vibe so artsy you might leave wearing a beret.

  1. SculptureWalk at Evergreen Arboretum

Stroll through the Evergreen Arboretum on August 19th-20th for a sculpture exhibition that’s nothing short of stone-cold awesome. Witness artists turning chunks of rock into masterpieces, and if you’re feeling sculpt-curious, try your hand at carving something that could either be a bear or a blob—art is subjective, right?

  1. Art Rocks at Everett Children’s Museum

Throughout August, the Children's Museum turns into a rock 'n' roll canvas blending beats and brushstrokes.

  • Aug. 10th: “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses
  • Aug. 16th: “Surfin’ U.S.A.” by the Beach Boys
  • Aug. 20th: “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina
  • Aug. 28th: “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson

  1. Fly High at Flying Squirrel Indoor Trampoline Park

Escape the heat and defy gravity at Flying Squirrel, where you can bounce higher than your last energy bill. Perfect for those days when the sun is too much and the couch is too tempting, this place is an air-conditioned haven of high-flying fun.

From bouncing to the beat at the marina to leaping around at Flying Squirrel, Everett in August offers a lineup that’s sure to keep your summer swinging and your spirits high. Bring your family, grab your friends, and dive into the fun—Everett is waiting to make your summer unforgettable.
